SOUTHERN HOTROD LLC was established in 2004 and is based in the Greater New Orleans area.
Our primary mission is to innovate, engineer, and manufacture the highest level performance parts and automatic transmissions on the planet.
We specialize in, NAG1 722.6, 5 speed automatic transmissions, ZF 8HP90/95 | 8HP70/75, 8 speed automatic transmissions, and Mercedes-Benz 722.6 & 722.9 automatic transmissions.
The "SHR Founder", Edwin P Gregory III started his career in the United States NAVY, in 1990 as a USS Kitty Hawk CV-63 Arresting Gear crew member and then a F-14 TomCat power plant mechanic in VF-1 "Wolf Pack" aboard USS Ranger CV-61. After an Honorable discharge in 1993 he started in the automotive industry. First as a technician at a local Dodge dealership and later becoming a Master technician at the local Mercedes-Benz dealership. Using these experiences he decided to pursue his passion, and founded SOUTHERN HOTROD LLC in 2004.
